From from a gathering of a few survivors and very important others, the group has grown impressively and now has many hundreds of members. Before joining the group many felt alone or abandoned as they were the only person they knew that had been through this life changing event.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK is a peer support organisation and the help, feedback and comaradery of the members has helped many understand what they are going through and how to re-establish life post SCA. Here are few of the nice things said about the group…

The SCA group on Facebook has been a great source of information for me, but, more importantly, has been a way to meet other people who have suffered similarly with sudden cardiac arrest. This site has helped a lot
It isn’t the easiest of conditions to live with as there tends to be precious little support available from the medics once you have been discharged from hospital. This site has helped a lot, including allowing me the opportunity to directly ask a question of a cardiologist during an online webinar – brilliant.
So thankful to find this group and other people who ‘get it’
The hardest part of not dying is learning to live again! After 4 cardiac arrests, ‘normal’ changes, life changes, I’ve changed. I was so thankful to find this group and other people who ‘get it’. It’s been a priceless support and has helped me to understand the new ‘Me’.

Everyone is so supportive
I thank God that I found this group. It is so good to find people that just understand what you are going through because they have been there too. Everyone is so supportive and there is always someone there to listen or help with advice.
