Glossary: Cardiac Resynchronisation Therapy
A specialised pacemaker therapy that coordinates the contraction of both ventricles to improve pumping efficiency in heart failure patients with electrical dyssynchrony. CRT-D devices also include a defibrillator function and are commonly used in cardiac arrest survivors with reduced heart function.
