The breathing machine blows air and oxygen in and out of the lungs. The breathing machine can do all the breathing for the patient or it can assist the patient’s own breathing

This procedure is carried out using a fibre-optic camera device. The bronchoscope is passed through the patient’s breathing tube into the air passages leading to the lungs allowing the doctor to see into the airways of the lungs
