Re-entry tachycardia arising from the presence of an abnormal electrical connection between atria and ventricles situated outside the atrioventricular node

A defect (hole) involving both the atrial and ventricular septums. The mitral and tricuspid valves are also abnormal.

A defect (hole) in the atrial septum which allows blood to shunt from one atrium to the other.
