This is produced in the artria of the heart in response to a rise in atrial pressure
Anatomy
Aterial Valve
One of the valves which control flow from the ventricles into the circulation, during each heart beat, and prevent backflow. (see ‘Aortic Valve’ and ‘Pulmonary Valve’).
Arterioles
Small, muscular branches of arteries. When they contract, they raise resistance to blood flow, and blood pressure in the arteries increases.
