When the muscle in the heart wall works (squeezes) to push the blood through the heart and out into the arteries.

Coronary Arteries

Two arteries arising from the aorta that arch down over the top of the heart and divide into branches. They provide blood to the heart muscle

Conducting Tissue

Specialised cells or pathways in the heart, which transfer the electrical stimulus from the heart’s natural pacemaker to the heart muscle of the atriums and ventricles to signal the heart muscle to contract, for each heart beat.
