Jaw Thrust

A manoeuvre for opening the airway of an unconscious patient. The flats of the hands are placed on the cheeks with the fingers hooked uner the angles of the jaw so that the jaw can be pulled upwards to seperate the tongue from the back of the pharynx.

Introducer Sheath

A catheter-like tube that is placed inside a patient’s vessel during an interventional procedure to help the doctor with insertion and proper placement of the actual catheter
