Bridging the Gap

Help us bridge the gap between saving lives and the lived experience. We are the world’s largest national cardiac arrest survivorship organisation, with over 3.500 members across the United Kingdom. Founded in 2015 and registered as a charity in 2022 by survivors and co-survivors, we provide peer support and advocacy for cardiac arrest survivors and those affected by their event. We are survivor and co-survivor-led, evidence-informed, and increasingly recognised as the voice of survivorship in resuscitation science.

How we can work together

For clinical teams: Include SCA UK in your discharge pathways. Signposting patients and families to peer support improves outcomes and addresses the psychological impact of cardiac arrest that extends beyond medical recovery.

For organisations: Distribute and link to our resources, collaborate on quality improvement initiatives, or invite us to contribute the patient voice to your work.

For researchers: We facilitate patient and public involvement in research, offer the survivor perspective for study design, and can help with recruitment and dissemination.

For individual professionals: We’re always keen to hear from clinicians who are willing to speak at our events, contribute to our resources, or help us understand the long-term impact of the care you provide.
