Your Voice Matters
How will the results from the survey be used?
Your responses will be combined with other participants’ responses to comprehensively understand user experiences with the Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK website. This collective feedback will help us pinpoint areas for improvement and ensure our online resources better meet the needs of SCA survivors, their families, and supporters.
The aggregated findings will be anonymised and compiled into a report to be published by Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK. Anonymised free-text comments may be included in the report to highlight specific insights. The anonymised data may also be shared with relevant healthcare professionals and made available to web design experts to further enhance our website.
For questions or further information about the survey, please email info@scauk.org.
Can I help share survey details with other people who may wish to participate?
Absolutely, we encourage you to share the survey with anyone who might be interested in providing feedback. If you are not eligible to take part yourself but know someone who is, please forward this information to them. Healthcare professionals and supporters are also invited to help promote the survey by visiting the website and sharing the survey details with their networks.
After our first meet-up in February 2015, I realised I was not alone. It was the first time since my cardiac arrest the previous year that I had spoken face-to-face with someone who had experienced what I had. This was also true for my wife, who also happened to be my lifesaver. From that meet-up, the idea of SCA UK was born. Since then, we have achieved a considerable amount, primarily providing information, resources and support to others in a similar situation but also raising the profile of survivorship and the need for better post-discharge care. We are starting to get traction in this, and with the formation of the charity, I genuinely believe we have a bright future ahead and will make a significant difference in the lives of many who join our ranks.
